This Privacy Policy describes how James Wesley Productions ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with freights.app (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account data: name, email address, company name, and authentication identifiers from Google sign-in when used.
Shipment data: shipper and consignee names, addresses, contact phone numbers, item descriptions, driver names, signatures, and uploaded proof photos.
Usage data: log information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the Service.
Billing data: processed by our payment processor; we store only limited identifiers (such as subscription IDs) needed to manage your plan.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) deliver text messages and proof links you request; (c) bill subscriptions and meter usage; (d) prevent fraud and abuse; (e) communicate with you about your account, service updates, and security notices; and (f) comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to run the Service (hosting, database, SMS delivery, payment processing, email delivery, analytics), with parties to a corporate transaction (with notice), or when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.
4. SMS Recipients
When you send a pickup or delivery link, we transmit the link to the phone number you supply through a third-party SMS provider. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to message that number. The recipient does not need an account to view the link.
5. Data Retention
We retain Customer Data for as long as your workspace is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of specific records or your entire workspace at any time.
6. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, scoped access controls, and audited backups. No system is perfectly secure; please notify us of any suspected vulnerability.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete personal information about you, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@freights.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
8. Children
The Service is intended for business users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International Use
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. under U.S. laws.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
